Baling
New to 2006 was a New Holland BB940 Square baler. This makes short work of the rows in front of it. It consistently makes high density regular bales. This helps when feeding out, that the stock regularly gets the same amount in a bale.
For round bales, a Welger high density baler is used. It has a belt chamber, and flotation tyres. It also has a built in chopper, so if the grass needs chopping a bit smaller, this can be switched on. This lessens the wastage especially when feeding to sheep.
We have rakes to row up grass in front of our balers or your own if required.
If straw gets wet, we have this Teagle tedder. Which is very good for lifting the rows and allowing air to get through and help the drying process.
